Care

How to care for your piece depends on the metal you choose.

Plated brass needs the most care. Take it off before washing your hands, showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping, and keep it away from perfume and lotion. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth after wearing and store it on its own in the gift box.

Sterling silver can darken naturally over time. Keep it dry, take it off in chlorinated or salt water, and bring back the shine with a silver polishing cloth. On gold or rose gold plated silver, polish gently so the plating lasts.

Stainless steel is the most hard wearing and will not tarnish. It is fine with everyday water; rinse it in mild soapy water and dry it well.

At Bella Olivia Gifts each item is handmade and made to order by our team, with the majority of our products having personalization options. We aim to make all order within 7 days of purchase however normally we are able to beat this time frame.

What is it made of, and will it tarnish?

You choose the material in the options above. Plated brass is the most affordable and needs the most care: take it off before washing, swimming or sleeping, and keep it away from perfume and lotion. Sterling silver can darken naturally over time and polishes back with a silver cloth. Stainless steel is the most hard wearing and will not tarnish.

Are the birthstones real gems?

Our birthstones are simulated stones in each month's traditional color, not mined gems.

Can I send it straight to them as a gift?

Yes. Just enter their address at checkout. Every jewelry piece arrives in our complimentary gift box, ready to give.

What should I do if I have made a mistake with my order?

If you have made an error with your personalizations e.g. you have spelt something wrong or put the wrong date please contact us ASAP. You should do this by email on contact@bellaoliviagifts.com, we will reply in 24 hours. If you email us within 24 hours we will be able to change your order. Past the 24 hour mark there is no guarantee that we will be able to change the order as your items may have entered the production process however we will do our very best to make any changes necessary.

Can I return a personalized piece?

Because each piece is made just for you, we can't accept returns or exchanges unless it arrives damaged or not as ordered. If that happens, email us at contact@bellaoliviagifts.com within 7 days with your order number and photos, and we will remake it or refund it. You can cancel within 24 hours of ordering.
